Operation Salute

Operation Salute

Today there are more than 23,000,000 veterans living in the United States. Of this number, approximately 2.9 million are considered disabled in some way from their service. It is incumbent upon us, as Americans, to show respect and honor those who have served our nation honorably, and to care for those who still face physical or emotional challenges as a result of that service.

This fall, First United Methodist Church, along with the Northwest Indiana Veterans Action Council, community and corporate partners will be sponsoring “Operation Salute”, which will address the following goals:
  • To raise community awareness of veterans issues.
  • To provide a venue for the members of the Crown Point community to tangibly show their support for veterans in our area.
  • To raise needed funds that will go to aid veterans in our area.
